HMA can create either of the following conflict resolution programs:
The Toro Company saved $50 million over a six-year period of time using an early mediation program to resolve claims by its customers.
Brown and Root reported an 80% reduction in outside litigation costs after it implemented a three-step private employment dispute program involving 1) management review, 2) mediation, and 3) arbitration. The Company adopted the program after having spent $450,000 in litigation costs and five years in litigating one employment dispute. Even though they prevailed in court and the employee received no recovery, the amount of time and resources it took to successfully defend the company convinced them that there had to be a better way to handle employment disputes.
Motorola saw a 75% reduction in litigation costs over a period of 6 years.
The Department of Agriculture estimated savings of $1,000,000+ over two years.
