Scott A. Schweber

Biography
Scott A. Schweber is a full-time mediator and arbitrator with four decades of litigation and dispute resolution experience. Since beginning his legal career in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1985, Scott has represented individuals, closely held businesses, local companies, and national corporations in a broad range of complex disputes throughout Georgia.
Scott began his career handling utility rate litigation before the Georgia Public Service Commission, where he developed substantial experience in complex regulatory and commercial matters. After entering private practice in 1988, he built a diverse litigation practice encompassing trials, appeals, arbitrations, and mediations involving business, commercial, insurance, real estate, professional liability, and personal injury disputes.
In 2008, Scott expanded his practice to focus extensively on alternative dispute resolution, bringing to his role as a neutral the perspective of an experienced litigator and problem solver. He is known for his balanced temperament, practical approach, thorough preparation, and ability to work effectively with parties and counsel in challenging situations. Scott serves full time as a mediator and arbitrator and finds the work deeply rewarding.
Scott’s litigation and ADR experience spans a wide variety of matters, including business torts, contract disputes, shareholder and business dissolution disputes, labor and material liens, contract bond claims, insurance coverage and bad faith matters, real estate and title disputes, premises liability, wrongful death, professional negligence, privacy and data breach matters, securities disputes, and complex commercial litigation. He also handles specialized matters involving the Georgia Lottery and coin-operated amusement machine disputes.
Since 2008, Scott has served as a mediator and arbitrator in numerous business, commercial, consumer, and insurance matters. He has served on more than 150 arbitration panels and has substantial experience managing complex, multi-party disputes. His extensive litigation background, combined with years of ADR experience and professional training, allows him to guide parties through difficult disputes with professionalism, patience, and credibility.
Scott joined Henning Mediation & Arbitration as a full-time neutral in 2024.
