The Henning Story
Henning Mediation & Arbitration Service has pioneered the art of dispute resolution through the Southeast. We've built our reputation with experienced ADR professionals who work tirelessly to settle your client's dispute. Henning is dedicated to helping you find the right solution by offering a variety of ADR services. We offer these services in an inviting, relaxed atmosphere that enhances the ADR process.
Henning Mediation has always been a family-run business. Ed Henning started Henning Mediation & Arbitration Service in 1996 after seeing an increased demand for mediation in Georgia. Ed pioneered the art of collective mediation, establishing a model that inspires organizations even today.
We handle a wide variety of cases ranging from a simple premises liability complaint to complex, multi-party disputes. Our neutrals are attorneys and retired judges that specialize in all diverse areas of law. Their firsthand knowledge and experience allows us to settle over 75% of the cases heard at our facility. This "drive to settle" helps our clients reduce the cost of litigation and often times that unpleasant experience of a trial.
We don’t take it lightly that you’ve entrusted us with your case. We focus on building strong client relationships, using our experience-derived expertise to drive optimal outcomes.
As the original pioneers of collective mediation, mediocrity is our enemy. Our mediators – who are often awarded Atlanta’s best mediators – uphold the highest standards that were set by our founders 25 years ago.
Morals and ethics are important because they speak to both character and commitment to our clients. We approach each mediation process with honesty, openness and honor.
When we’re working on your case, you (and your case results) are our top priority. We only take on a select number of cases, carving out ample time and attention each day for your specific case.
Take a Seat at Our Table
While our business has grown in the past 25+ years, we remain true to our humble Henning roots and family traditions. In the early years, Helen Henning would bake cheese biscuits for clients every morning. Today, your clients arrive at our office greeted by the aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
It’s the sort of touch that brings comfort to often-prickly situations, a familiarity to the unknown of mediation processes. Because it’s our goal to make you and your client feel at ease – and taken care of – from initial conversations to the final paperwork.
That’s the Henning way.
Henning Hospitality: We take care of the little things so you can focus on the big things – coming to a successful resolution.
As the original pioneers in collective mediation, we have learned a lot about how to create an environment to support our clients in achieving successful resolutions. You will see this knowledge come to life in what we refer to as “Henning Hospitality!”
Our hospitality begins before you walk in the door, with a centrally located office and easily accessible parking.
When you enter our office, you will be greeted by one of our friendly and knowledgeable staff members who will gladly escort you to your private conference room. Our state-of-the-art facilities include plug and play technology, to include WIFI, televisions with access to Hulu and Netflix, and computers. If you need to print a document, simply email it and we will hand-deliver copies to your conference room. In addition, we offer snacks, beverages and catered lunches to keep your energy up throughout the process. Our goal is to create a calm and relaxing experience for all involved.
I cannot think of anything HMA hasn't already thought of: great surroundings, terrific choice of mediators, excellent service during the mediation. They do it all and do it well.
